Chau Pham Relief Wood Carving
Chau and one of his latest projects

At only 11 years old, Chau lived and practiced Buddhism for four years at the largest Buddhist temple in Vietnam, where he first learned about woodworking. Afterward, he attended an art institute in Saigon, Vietnam for six years until Saigon was occupied by the North Vietnamese. After taking many risks, he was eventually sent to the U.S., where he won a scholarship from the Atlanta College of Art to earn his degree in Fine Arts. An accomplished woodworker and photographer, Chau enjoys wood carving, especially birds. His work is backed up by years of experience and recent awards. He has frequented many judging panels in wood carving shows across the Southeast for the past 20 years. Chau also teaches master classes and hosts seminars on wildfowl wood carving.

Chau currently works as a full-time subcontractor and resides in the Central Florida area with his wife, Sachi, and his two daughters, Serena and Erika. When he is not carving, he enjoys fishing, RC gadgets, and playing music.
